Another artist I used for influential ideas was Carol Sawyer, I studied her work 'Shadow Puppet' 2015, her installation is more of a performance as she interacts with objects and uses light to create fascinating shadows. I really appreciate her work and I like how she has made herself into a life size shadow puppet, I enjoy how she can express herself through movement and improvisation.
Reading and watching videos of her work really influenced me to make something interactive, me and my partner developed an idea around creating a pulley system which would create a performance aspect to our installation, also making it interactive and fun for the audience. The puppets limbs can move up and down when pulled, the large silhouette cast by the two puppets dances and moves along to the movement of the strings, thus creating the shadow puppet display.
