The final artist that I researched for my Sculpture project was Richard Sweeney. He too uses paper as his medium but he focuses more on sculpture and installation, his work is large scale and is normally hung from the ceiling. I found his work very enticing to look at, the patterns he has used are very appealing and the scale of what he works is outstanding. I enjoy how his artwork can fill a space and that it is big enough to walk around.
After looking at Richard Sweeney's 'Untitled' 2010, the pattern he has used is simple but the way he has arranged it by having it hung from the ceiling is captivating, I decided that I too wanted to go large scale and make something that is bold. My final piece completely covered my work area, the texture created is rough and in my opinion it really stands out as an installation piece.
