During this week, I decided i wanted to draw from observation. I did a study from the burnt wood i had previously used, i used water colour to draw the grain onto the paper using a paint brush, but i didn't like the outcome as the brush was holding me back and had too much of a precision, so i decided that i would dip my wire brush into the paint and rub the wire brush onto the paper to leave unexpected and unique marks, the wire brush was difficult to use as it began to tear and rip at the paper but i enjoyed this kind of mark making as it was something i had never done before. I did this several times and created different patterns and arranged them with equal spacing to present them.
