After reflecting on my artwork in the corridor I decided to display my artwork within a white cube space, I decided to use a similar methodology and ideology of many minimalist artists, I wanted to show my artwork in a very precise, organised and measured way. I made a grid system on the floor similar to Carl Andre's work SPATIAL SPECIFICITY. After speaking with my fellow peers and looking at artists such as Donald Judd, who made three-dimensional free standing sculptures I decided to create my own free standing sculptures, I think this is a direction that I would like to take my ideas, as in semester 1 all of my artwork was on the wall or propped up against it. I want for people to be able to walk around and spectate my artwork from all different angles, I want for it to occupy a space.
